congiunzione as soon as* * *appena/ap'pena/È importante distinguere l'uso di appena come congiunzione o avverbio. - Come congiunzione, (non) appena si traduce solitamente con as soon as: chiamami non appena arriva = call me as soon as he comes. - Come avverbio con valore temporale, appena nel senso di da poco si traduce con just: me l'ha appena detto Carla = Carla has just told me.
